School Council visit to the Houses of Parliament
What a fantastic day was had by all of the Key Stage 2, School Council members when they visited the Houses of Parliament.
The children got to walk the route the Queen had taken the previous week when she attended the Houses of Parliament for the official state opening.
We also saw Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson working in the hall, and managed to go into the public gallery to see and hear debates from Theresa May, Home Secretary.
The children were a credit to Highlees Primary School and managed a very long day travelling by taxi, train and tube in very hot weather, with exceptional behaviour.
