Pupil Voice survey - completed Spring 2022 - 231 pupils asked
92% of children said they feel safe in school
When asked ‘If I am being bullied I know who to go to?’ 95% of children said yes.
The children were asked to give examples of people that they could go to:
- Teachers and teaching assistants (including Miss Dines)
- Lunchtime staff
- Parents
- Trusted adults
‘Do you think that you would know what to do if you were being bullied?’
- 80% said yes
- 8% said no
- 12% were unsure
The children were asked to give examples:
- Tell an adult
- Walk away
- Ask them to stop
92% of children said they get on well with other children in their class.
When asked ‘Are you taught to value each other?’ 93% said yes.
The children were asked to give examples:
When asked ‘What rewards do you get in class?’
93% of children said teachers and other adults make them feel safe on the playground.
Although 95% said they know who to go to if they felt they were being bullied, only 80% said they would feel confident about what to do. Due to this we have developed an action plan as shown above to ensure the children are equipped with the skills and knowledge to deal with bullying if it was to arise.
